Motorcyclist Dead After Collision With Truck
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department reports that a 22-year-old Blountville man died in a motorcycle accident Thursday night. Michael S. Booher was riding his motorcycle on Island Road in Blountville around 6:30pm when another motorist turned his truck into a driveway in front of him. Booher was unable to stop and collided with the truck causing serious head injuries. He was airlifted to the hospital and later pronounced dead. Authorities confirm that Speed was likely a factor in the accident but no charges are pending at this time. (bg)
