Diversion Denied Retired Pilot
A retired U.S. Airways pilot has been denied judicial diversion on a drug conviction. 60 year old Christopher Rumley of Kingsport entered a guilty plea on reduced charges. He received a package by Fed-Ex that contained hydrocodone. He was stopped by police after he went to pick the package up. Judge Jerry Beck denied pre-trial diversion and ordered Rumley to serve probation. (jb)
