WJHL Announces The Death of a Retired News Anchor
WJHL-TV announced the death of a retired news anchor today. Robert “Bob” L. Lewis, Jr. passed away last night at an area hospital. He began his career at WJHL in March of 1967 and continued with the station for 40 years. Lewis has been retired since October of 2007 when he then reassembled The Bob Lewis Band and they performed around the Tri-Cities area. He was a resident of Johnson City and was survived by his wife Madaline, five children and seven grandchildren. He would have turned 67 this Thursday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. (bg)
