Ramsey Wants To Phase Out Hall Tax
Tennessee Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey says that he will end Tennessee's Hall Income Tax on Seniors. The tax, was enacted in 1929 and requires a 6 percent tax payment on retirement income. Ramsey made his comments Monday before the North East Tennessee Association of Realtors. Ramsey also told the group that the legislature is phasing the state's inheritance tax over the next three years. (jb)
