Kingsport's Board of Mayor and Aldermen have okayed the city's budget for next year. Members approved the new spending plan which is balanced with no property tax increase, and a 2 percent pay raise for employees. The board also approved the annexation of a 17 acre parcel of land along John B. Dennis Highway. The property is located across from Pal's and includes a gas station, grocery store, and a car wash.
