Model City Balances Budget, Approves Annexation
Kingsport's Board of Mayor and Aldermen have okayed the city's budget for next year. Members approved the new spending plan which is balanced with no property tax increase, and a 2 percent pay raise for employees. The board also approved the annexation of a 17 acre parcel of land along John B. Dennis Highway. The property is located across from Pal's and includes a gas station, grocery store, and a car wash.
