Abingdon Man Strikes Man In Head With Steering Wheel
An Abingdon man has been arrested for allegedly striking anothe rman in the head with a steering wheel at a Blountville Go-Kart Race Track. 63 yea rold David Matney says that he was protecting his grandson who had wrecked. He is said to have struck a 33 year old Cedar Bluff, Virginia man in the back of the head with the steering wheel. The incident happened at the Beechnut Raceway on Island Road. Matney is free on bond and will be in court soon. (jb)
