Acting on strong tips and information Hawkins County Sheriff deputies grabbed drugs going into the Hawkins County Memorial Hospital in Rogersville. 32-year-old Lorrita Denise Defreece of Church Hill was observed by police officers picking up illegal prescription drugs from a storage unit she was renting and taking them to the parking lot of the Rogersville Hospital. She was allegedly taking 30, 10 mg hydrocodone tablets to a hospital lab technician, Joyce Renée Presley. The storage building was raided following DeFreece’s arrest and her pickup truck was seized as part of the drug transaction. About $300 in cash was seized from the storage building also. Defreece remains in the Hawkins County Jail under a $10,000 bond. Presley was released on a $500 bond for her alleged role in the drug exchange.(CS)
