Plant Employees Contain Fire
Fire at the Bristol Tennessee Exide plant was quickly controlled yesterday afternoon. Bristol Tennessee firefighters stood by while the plants fire brigade handled the emergency in a contained filtration system. Battalion Chief Dewayne Honaker says 13 city firemen backed the plant's fire brigade. There were no injuries reported. One piece of equipment was damaged. A lot of smoke had to be vented from the plant located on Exide Drive off of Volunteer Parkway.(CS)
