Greene Unemployment Rate Up Slightly
The unemployment rate in Greene County has increased slightly. A Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce report shows that the rate for May was 9.6 percent. That's up one tenth of a point from April. One year ago the unemployment rate was 12 percent. Tennessee's unemployment rate for May was 7.9 percent which was up two tenths of a percent from April.
