Saltville Rescue Squad Member To Plead Guilty
A member of the Saltville Rescue Squad is scheduled to plead guilty to federal health care fraud charges this week. Monica Jane Hicks initially pleaded not guilty during her arraignment in February. She is charged along with another defendant of sending just over 2.5 million dollars in fraudulent billing slips to insurance companies. It not known if Hicks is changing her plea in exchange for her testimony and a lighter sentence. (jb)
