Man Falls From Cliff Into River
Rescue crews from Hawkins County had to retrieve a man who fell 60 to 70 feet into the North Fork of the Holston River. It happened in the Five Caves area of Sullivan County Sunday afternoon. Due to the rough terrain, Hawkins County crews were called in to get to the man. Kingsport and Church Hill EMS assisted in the rescue. The victim was taken to Holston Valley Hospital for treatment. Hawkins County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident. (jb)
