As the Independence Day holiday approaches, gas prices continue to fall nationwide and in Virginia. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the price of a gallon of regular gasoline in Virginia now averages $3.22 statewide. That's 6 cents less than last week and more than 25 cents less than a year ago.
