Last weekend's Operation Air, Land and Speed is being called a success by the Virginia State Police. The one day operation saw troopers issue 2,412 summonses and arrests. Troopers were out in force on Interstates 81 and 95. Funds generated from speeding and seatbelt tickets will go to the state's Literary Fund. This was the 37th Operation Air, Land and Speed campaign.
