Gate City Man Gets 16 Years In Child Abuse Case
A Gate City, Virginia man recently convicted of sexually abusing a child over 10 years ago has been sentenced to prison. 51 year old James Mark Turner entered an Alford Plea on attempted forcible rape of a child and forcible sodomy of a relative. The offense happend in 2001 when the child was 9 years old. A judge sentenced Turner to 33 years in prison with all but 16 suspended. (jb)
