Man Arrested After Welfare Check
Johnson City police have charged a man with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun. Officers were called to American Classic Suites on a welfare check. 58 year old James Arrington had a handgun and was wanted in Washington County, Tennessee. A records check revealed that he was a convicted felon on charges in Virginia. Mr. Arrington is being held under a 10 thousand dollar bond at the county detention center. (jb)
