SCSO Sets Up Mobile Command Post Near Hippies
Sullivan County deputies have set up a mobile command post near the Cherokee National Forest. They're in the Little Oak Campground with EMS and National Forest officials in support of the Rainbow Family of Light gathering. Leslie Earhart says that this will cut the sheriff's department response time down significantly. It takes about 45 minutes to get from Blountville to the national forest. Officials anticipate about 15 thousand people to attend the gathering this week. (jb)
