WW II Vets To Grand Marshal Mack Riddle Parade
The 59th Annual Mack Riddle Independence Day Parade will step off at 10 AM Wednesday on East Center Street in Kingsport. It is recognized as one of the top holiday events in Northeast Tennessee. Kingsport Chamber of Commerce Director Miles Burdine has a special invitation for those honored as Grand Marshals of the parade. All World War II veterans are invited to the reviewing stand stage to view the event. Contact the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce for information. The parade route will be down East Center veering off on Ft. Henry Drive to the intersection of Eastman Road. Alpha Natural Resources is one of the main sponsors of this year's event in the Model City.(CS)
