Shots Fired During Bank Robbery
A shot was fired during the holdup of a Greeneville, Tennessee bank Monday morning. It happened just before 11:30 at the Greeneville Federal branch bank on East Andrew Johnson Highway. Police say that a white male armed with a handgun fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries even though it's reported one bullet was fired from his gun. The robber left the area in a dark colored truck. The bank was closed for the remainder of the day. FBI agents are taking the lead in the investigation. (jb)
