Drowning At Laurel Falls
Carter County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the drowning of a man at Laurel Falls in a remote part of the county. According to a Rescue Squad spokesman, the body of the 50 year old man was found floating face down by hikers. A search is on for another person who may be missing. Wings Air Rescue helicopter will fly over the area today to see if they can find another body in the water. The possibility of a second victim was raised when two backpacks were found nearby. (jb)
