Marina Evacuated For Investigation Of Electrocutions Investigators believe a faulty cord from a houseboat caused a swimmer in Cherokee Lake to be electrocuted. A 10-year-old boy died at the scene yesterday afternoon and an 11-year-old boy was reported to be on life support at a hospital after being revived on a life flight out of the area. Grainger County Sheriff Scott Layel confirmed that it happened around 2:15 near the German Creek Marina in Bean Station. Police say over a half dozen people were taken to the hospital in Morristown to be checked out as some were injured trying to rescue the boys. The marina has been evacuated to allow authorities to investigate. (bg)
