4th Of July Week Continues This Weekend With Fireworks
Fourth of July week continues with more Independence Day events featuring more fireworks this weekend. Glade Spring & Honaker Virginia have both scheduled their celebrations for Saturday. Festivities begin in Glade Spring at 9am with “Fourth at the Farmers Market” in the Glade Spring Town Square. Honaker’s events start at 4pm and include children’s games, cakewalks, face painting, rock climbing and a mechanical bull with fireworks at ten. In Glade Spring Project Glade is sponsoring a pet show and parade for domestic and small farm animals, a Corn Hole tournament and a children’s art show as the farmers market will allow farmers to sell their produce alongside baked goods and other vendors with music coming from the town gazebo. Events begin at noon with the Second Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Dunn Field sponsored by the Glade Spring Fire Department and the Glade Spring Lifesaving Crew. Vendors will sell food and refreshment, the Extreme Dance Company will perform at six with Glen Body and the Blues Cruisers leading up to fireworks at ten. (bg)
