Bank Robber in Court
A 36-year-old Chuckey man was in Federal Court Thursday morning to face bank robbery charges. 36-year-old Larry Shane Morgan has been charged with bank robbery and the use of a firearm in the robbery. Morgan’s case is expected to go to a federal grand jury Tuesday for possible indictment. His next court appearance is set for 10:30 Wednesday morning. Morgan is accused of firing a random gunshot in that armed robbery of the Greeneville Federal Bank Monday. Alert Johnson City police officers found his getaway vehicle outside of Fox motel leading to his arrest Tuesday. Morgan appeared in shackles before Judge Dennis Inman.(CS)
