Lenard Runs Against Corker
Brenda Lenard, a US Senatorial Candidate from Tennessee, says she’s running against Senator Bob Corker because it is time for new leadership in Washington. Lenard, a African American single mother, grew up in the projects of Atlanta but is now about to complete her Doctorate in Political Science at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She says her story is just another product of belief in God and the American Dream. Lenard is one of four Republicans running against Senator Corker, says so far she’s been received warmly by voters all across the Volunteer State. (hra)
