Hearing Delayed For TV Preacher
The judicial diversion hearing of a Sullivan County TV preacher has been postponed until later in the month. 59 year old Brenda Viars' hearing was scheduled for Thursday morning in Sullivan County Criminal Court. She pleaded guilty in April to two counts of willful abuse of an adult, which is a Class E Felony. She allowed her disabled husband and elderly mother to live in deplorable conditions and without medical care. The judge rescheduled her judicial diversion hearing until July 25th. (jb)
