Second Body Found At Laurel Fork Falls
The Carter County Sheriff's Department says a second drowning victim has been recovered at the base of Laurel Fork Falls. Rescue crews found the body of an adult male Wednesday morning, and immediately began searching for the second victim when two backpacks were found nearby. Sheriff Chris Mathes says that the water flow at the falls creates a hydraulic, catching swimmers, causing them to drown. The victims were a father and son from out of state. (jb)
