Press release on 07/08/12 at approx. 1840 hours officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Adam T. Trivett, 27 yoa, of 423 Hamilton Street, Johnson City, TN, and charged him with Aggravated Sexual Battery. The arrest is the result of an investigation into a complaint that Mr. Trivett had inappropriately touched a small child in a sexual manner inside the city limits of Johnson City. The initial complaint was received at approx. 1235 hours, but Mr. Trivett had left the residence prior to police arrival. Mr. Trivett was located several hours later, and upon being questioned about the incident, confessed to the allegations made against him. Mr. Trivett was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in General Sessions Court on 07/09/12 at 1330 hours
