Press release on 07/09/12 at around 10pm, Kingsport Police responded to Holston Valley Hospital reference to a child abuse investigation. Officers located a 6 month old child being treated for severe injuries. Detectives developed probable cause that the baby’s father, Shawn Wray, abused and raped the baby. On 07/10/12 at 3pm, Mr. Wray was arrested and transported to the Kingsport Jail.
