A Southwest Virginia Regional Jail inmate has been indicted for killing another inmate. 21 year old Shannon Bellamy of Gate City faces one count of Capital Murder in the death of 42 year old Allen Kilgore of Wise. Bellamy is alleged to have hit Kilgore in the head during an altercation at one of the jail's housing units. The fight happened at the end of the inmate's lunch hour, and was captured on video surveillance. Bellamy is facing life in prison or the death penalty if convicted. (jb)
