A Bristol, Virginia man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. 57 year old Philip Barker of Meadow Lane was convicted in February for aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child. He molested his 12 year old step-daughter. He was arrested last August after the girl reported the incidents to members of her church at a Wednesday night service. Barker had married the girl's mother just before she was sent to jail. The girl is living with another family out of state. (jb)
