Drug Task Force Gets Harsh Criticism
The 3rd Judicial District Drug Task Force has received harsh criticism from the Tennessee Comptrollers office. The 3rd Judicial District includes Greene, Hamblen, Hancock and Hawkins counties. Comptroller Justin Wilson said the group failed to keep proper track of money, as well as failing to properly record and manage seized property. The report also stated that the task force failed to properly document informant expenditures, and they didn't follow proper purchasing procedures and inventory control. (jb)
