They used a weapon they stole to commit another robbery. Officers were able to quickly connect a stolen pellet gun from a Southwest Virginia Wal-Mart to an incident at a gas station across town. In both robberies, witnesses described the same vehicle, a Nissan, as the getaway car. While on the way to the Sunoco location, a police officer spotted the car and arrested the 24-year old Southwest Virginia couple inside. Trientee Hess and Justin Shoemaker were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. Hess was also charged with robbery. An undisclosed amount of cash taken from the convenience store was found on Shoemaker. Additional charges are pending.
