The U.S. Postal Service has decided to not move out of downtown Kingsport. The current downtown building is up for sale, and that had local residents concerned. Officials with the post office held a public meeting Thursday afternoon, and said that once a sales contract is in place they will start looking for a smaller and more efficient location downtown.
