Bristol Doctor Pleads Guilty To Misdemeanor Mishandling
A Bristol, Virginia doctor pleaded guilty in federal court in on misdemeanor misbranding charges. . Dr. Steven Martin Bandy operates Rejuvenage MedSpa near Exit 7. He injected patients with a drug called Lipodisolve in 2007. Dr. Bandy injected about 70 patients with the drug to help them lose body fat. The FDA has not approved the drug for use. Judge James Jones ordered Dr. Bandy to one year probation, forfeiture of just over 70 thousand dollars he received from the treatments and a five thousand dollar fine. (jb)
