According to a news release from Knoxville Police Department, a felon was released from the Blount County jail on Thursday. Exact circumstances of his release were not made available. He was convicted in federal court of multiple takeover style robberies of pharmacies in the Knoxville area. 55-year old Dewyatt Allen Hill was sentenced to 75 years and was being held on state charges in the Blount County Detention Facility.
