Senate candidates George Allen and Tim Kaine appear this afternoon before a meeting of the Virginia Farm Bureau, answering questions from the group separately. Allen is a Republican trying to win back the seat he lost to Democratic Sen. Jim Webb in 2006. Kaine is a former governor who was the Democratic National Committee chairman for two years.
