Woman Charged With Child Neglect And Drugs
Greeneville police have arrested a woman and charged her with child neglect and drugs. Parents of a 13 year old girl called police to report their child missing. Police went to Greeneville Terrace Apartments and found 22 year old Lynette Blanton-Murphy walking around in the complex intoxicated. The 13 year old girl was also found in a highly intoxicated state. Murphy is said to have supplied alcohol and marijuana to the girl. She had left her two-year old child in her apartment unattended. Murphy became combative with police and tried to kick out the back window of the police cruiser. She will be in court today for arraignment. (jb)
