Two Still In Critical Condition After Friday Car Crash
Two people injured in a Friday afternoon car crash in Carter County remain in critical condition at the Johnson City Medical Center. 38 year old Jason Hammonds was driving erratically on U.S. 19E when his car crossed the center line and hit another vehicle around 4:00pm. He was airlifted to the medical center and is in critical condition. A passenger, 35 year old Nancy Grindstaff was airlifted to the hospital but later released. The driver of the other vehicle, 52 year old Sherry Byrd of Roan Mountain remains in critical condition. (jb)
