Innovation Academy Opens in KPT
The Innovation Academy of Kingsport officially opened its doors on Friday. The Academy is a new program from the STEM education innitiave that hopes to boost the learning outcomes of students in the subjects of math science and technology. The Academy is a joint effort between Kingsport and Sullivan County school systems and is located in the former Brookside elementary school in Bloomingdale. The academy is only open to sixth and seventh graders for the upcoming school year.
