School Delayed In Greene County
The Greene County School board has voted to delay the school year by one week. After the wheel tax referendum failed to pass it was decided to save a week rather than face possible layoffs. The school board vote of 5-2 came at a called meeting on Friday. It was decide to have registration on August 6th but classes won't begin until August 15th. (bg)
