Bristol Man Indicted For Attempted First-Degree Murder
A Sullivan County grand jury has indicted a Bristol, Tennessee man on attempted first-degree murder charges. 43 year old Ross Norton is alledged to have beaten his live-in girlfriend to the point of her going into a coma. He claimed that she had fallen, but police didn't believe his story. The woman was in a coma for several weeks. After she recovered she was able to tell police what happened. Norton remains in the Sullivan County jail on a 20 thousand dollar bond. (jb)
