Constable Arrested
A Carter County constable has been arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment. Leonard Johnson was indicted by a grand jury on the charges stemming from his being involved in a head-on collision in his cruiser last August. Johnson was on his way to attend the funeral of Constable Ross Potter. Johnson will appear in court on August 31st. Judge Lynn Brown allowed Johnson to be released on a 25 thousand dollar recognizance bond. (jb)
