Washington County Places First In LE Challenge
The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff's Office has placed first in the 2011 Virginia Law Enforcement Challenge in their category. This is the fourth year in a row the department has received either state or national recognition for their traffic enforcement programs. Deputies work off-duty hours performing checkpoints and saturation patrols looking for drunk drivers. (jb)
