Operation Air, Land And Speed
The Virginia State Police have released the results from their most recent Operation Air, Land and Speed. Saturday's traffic safety initial yielded just over 2500 summonses and arrests on the states Interstate highways. A total of 912 of them were on Interstate 81 during the 10 hour operation. 580 speeding tickets were issued, 79 reckless drivers were ticketed, 1 DUI 18 seatbelt violations and 6 drug cases. (jb)
