Gas Leak And Fire
Construction work on Kingsport's Gibson Mill Road hit a roadblock Tuesday when a natural gas line was ruptured and then ignited by a spark. The incident happened around 10:30 while concrete was being cut from the road. ATMOS Energy responded to the scene, turned off the gas line and extinguished the fire by noon. One nearby resident was evacuated. (jb)
