BOMA Approves Colonial Heights Annexation
The Kingsport Board of Mayor and Alderman have given their final approval to two annexations in the Colonial Heights area. This move will add over 220 acres and about 375 residents to the city. The two parcels will bring in about 135 thousand dollar a year into the city's coffers. One time costs associated with the annexations will be about 4.6 million dollars. It's expected to take just over 30 years to make back the money the city plans on investing with the annexations. (jb)
