Attorney Will Not Represent County
Sullivan County Attorney Dan Street says that he will not represent the county in the impending lawsuit from Sheriff Wayne Anderson. Street is quoted in a Herald Courier article as saying that he had represented the Sheriff's Department on numerous occasions, and that it would be a conflict of interest. Sheriff Anderson has hired a lawyer, and plans on suing the county because he feels that his department was under-funded. (jb)
