Retired Chief Honored
Retired Johnson City Police Chief John Lowry has been honored by the Tennessee Association of Chiefs Of Police. He was recently named Chief of the Year for the Eastern Tennessee Division. The honor was given Lowry for his track record during his nine years as Chief. Lowry led the effort to transition back to traditional police and fire departments, and computerizing police reporting systems. (jb)
