A former University of Virginia lacrosse player has lost his bid for a new trial in the slaying of his ex-girlfriend. A judge on Wednesday rejected a defense motion to set aside George Huguely V's second-degree murder conviction and order a new trial in the May 2010 killing of Yeardley Love.
