Saltville Trial - Day One
Monday was day one in the trial fo the Saltville Rescue Squad and their former president. Forty witnesses are scheduled to testify for the prosecution. The government is trying to get about 880 thousand dollars in reimbursement from the squad. They say that's the amount former President Eddie Wayne Louthian Senior and Monica Hicks falsely billed Medicare and other insurance companies for. Hicks pleaded guilty to a single charge of health care fraud in June. The trial is expected to last two weeks. (jb)
