Abingdon Virginia Law enforcement officers were involved in a Tuesday night search for a man who bailed out of his car and ran when officers attempted to pull him over for improper registration. Washington County deputies pursued the vehicle to Sand Hill where the unidentified driver left it on U.S 58 near the water works plant. Virginia State Police Med-Flight helicopters were available to join in the search. (bg)
